The PC (Personal Computer) has become a part of everyday life. It's how we keep in touch, pay bills, access our digital media and much more.
Selecting the right computer for your needs is very important. Building a computer is kind of like selecting the right kind of car. You wouldn't want to get your new computer and realize you didn't take in account your going to be editing home movies. For that you'll need more memory and a faster processor. We can build anything from the basic internet computer to the ultimate gaming rig.
If you would rather buy a manufactured computer (Dell, HP, Compact, Sony, Toshiba, etc.), we can help you there too. It can be daunting trying to figure out what you need when ordering a computer online. We can walk you through selecting the right components that you'll need in your new computer.

Types of builds:
HTPC (Home Theater PC or Media PC) - A PC hooked up to a tv with a small form factor case used for DVR, music, movies, pictures and more. A HTPC typically has a larger hard drive, smaller motherboard, HDMI output and digital out sound for a surround sound receiver. A HTPC is more for the computer enthusiast. It can be tricky trying to get all the software to work correctly.
Gaming Desktop - Used for gaming. This computer typically includes higher-end motherboard, processor, memory and graphics cards for higher frame rate, higher resolution and/or higher graphical settings. This is great for playing games such as Crysis, Fallout, Assasin's Creed and more.
Silent PC - This could also be included in any of the other computers. This computer typically has less fans and larger heat sinks for cooling and a quieter hard drive. A silent PC is great if you have your PC in the living room or bedroom and don't want to hear the noise.
Workstation PC - This is a high-end computer designed for technical or scientific applications, animation, 3D mechanical design and rendering of images. Typically these computers have more memory, faster processor and high end graphic cards. A workstation is good for graphic artist, mechanical drafting and more.
Internet/Document PC - These computers are typically cheaper PCs that don't require as much processing power as other types of computers. These are good for browsing the internet, home photos, watching videos and accessing your documents. This is a great family computer and is your most common type of computer.
Home Server - This type of computer is used to store all your media and files. It doesn't have a monitor, keyboard or mouse connected and can be controlled remotely. Typical this computer is hidden out of site. See more about Home Servers here.
Go Green
When you build a new computer you can purchase parts that save energy and help the environment.
Ways you can go green with a new computer:
Use onboard graphics. Doing this uses less power and produce less heat.
Purchase a 80 PLUS certified power supply. These are energy efficient power supplies.
Build your computer with a 45 watt processor. Less wattage equals less power.
Use green hard drives. These use less power and produce less heat.
Upgrade to a lcd screen. They use much less power than your old crt monitors.
You want to power down your peripheral when not using them.. It's just wasting energy.
Use system standby when your not using your computer.
Turn your monitor off when not in use. Off uses less energy than when your monitor is in standby.
