Do you match competitor prices?
Yes G Whiz PC Repair matches competitor prices. We have to call and verify the price..

What areas do you service?
Charlotte, Denver, Davidson, Huntersville, Cornelius, Concord, Kannapolis, Mooresville and Lake Norman, North Carolina areas. Contact us if you have any questions.

Why do you not have a store front?
By not have the expense of a store front G Whiz PC Repair passes the savings on to you.

What type of warranty do you offer?
The G Whiz PC Repair warranty only applies to the part/service, not including software, completed for 90 days. Warranty  for removal of viruses, spyware, adware or malware is 7 days; if they are the cause of a repeat effort, you will be charged again for that service. Any repairs made by G Whiz PC Repair may void the factory or supplemental warranty on your computer/device. If your computer/device needs repair and it is covered by warranty, G Whiz PC Repair recommends that the customer contact the entity that sold or manufactured the computer/device for information about repairs covered under warranty.

How much is pick-up and delivery?
Pick-up and delivery are free of charge. We do not offer drop off service as we do not have a store front.

Do you offer on-site service?
Yes, we do offer on-site service. We will let you know if we recommend bringing your computer back to our shop. Some repairs take longer to do. We do not offer on-site service for virus removal. We want to make sure to do a thorough search to be sure that the virus will not return once it's removed.

Do you repair laptops?
The only repairs that we do not service on laptops are DC jack replacements and motherboards. We repair broken keyboards, screens and other software related issues. We can replace or upgrade memory, hard drive and batteries. Contact us for any further questions.

Do you buy old computers?
No, we do not buy old computers. We will take computers for free, fix them and give them away to people that are in need of a computer. We also take computer parts.

Can you recover data from my hard drive if it's corrupt?
We can recover data from your hard drive as long as the hard drive has not already failed. If you notice a clicking noise from your hard drive, there is a slim chance we are going to be able to retreive your data. We are partnered with Drive Savers and Gillware. We are able to get you a quote on hard drive recovery of a failed drive and can save you some money with going through us instead of directly going through those businesses. It's typically not cheap to get data recoverd from a failed hard drive. Always remember to backup your important data.
