Family
My family includes me (Stephen Randall Gentry Jr), most of you know me as Randy. My wife Cynthia(Cyndi) Gentry and my son Nicolas Gentry. Nicolas was born November 2005. We currently live in Huntersville, NC. I have a brother (Darren) that lives in Kannapolis, NC. My father and stepmother live in Kannapolis, NC and my mother and stepfather live in Pilot Mountain, NC. Cyndi's brother (Marshall Madden) and mother live in Springfield, Missouri.

Guitar
I've been playing guitar since 2001. When I was 20 I met a guy where I worked that played guitar. One day he brought his acoustic guitar to work and played "Yellow Ledbetter" by Pearl Jam. From that day on I knew that I wanted to play guitar. He said that he would teach me the basics of it. He didn't really think that I was serious. He later told me that most of the people that say that they want to start playing give up. I have been playing guitar ever since. My style of music is hard rock with influences that include Seether, Nirvana, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Pearl Jam, Chevelle and many others.

Computers
I've grown up messing with computers. It started off with a Commodore 64 and writing programs for it. From that my family had a Tandy 1000 with Windows 95. I finally got my first Compaq desktop computer in 2000. It was a Pentium 3 and came with Windows 2000 and the basics. From there I upgraded to Windows ME and eventually XP. I had that computer until 2004 and then built an AMD 3000+ Desktop. That was my first real build. Before that I had pieced computers together and built and repaired computers for friends. After the AMD I built my Core 2 Duo, P4 server and AMD Dual Core HTPC PCs. While I was in the military I built several computers for friends. Family Tree
I started working on my family tree in 2004. It started out after my grandfather passed away and not many family members knew much about our family history. My grandmother gave me the information I needed to get started. From there I went to the internet and Ancestry.com. Some of the findings have been amazing.
