You can upgrade parts of your computer to save energy and help the environment.

Ways you can go green:

• Use onboard graphics. Doing this uses less power and produce less heat.
• Purchase a 80 PLUS certified power supply. These are energy efficient power supplies.
• Purchase a 45 watt processor if your motherboard accepts it.. Less wattage equals less power.
• Purchase green hard drives. These use less power and produce less heat.
• Purchase a lcd screen. They use much less power than your old crt monitors.
• You want to power down your peripheral when not using them. It's just wasting energy.
• Use system standby when your not using your computer.
• Turn your monitor off when not in use. Off uses less energy than when your monitor is in standby.
