  • Use onboard graphics. Doing this uses less power and produce less heat.
  • Purchase a 80 PLUS certified power supply. These are energy efficient power supplies.
  • Purchase a 45 watt processor if your motherboard accepts it.. Less wattage equals less power.
  • Purchase green hard drives. These use less power and produce less heat.
  • Purchase a lcd screen. They use much less power than your old crt monitors.
